This little tutorial explain step by step how to register a new account in this forum and how to resolve many issues that you could have.

To register a new account (for new users only, it is forbidden for a registered user to have more then 1 account registered in the forum) is possible only if you click in the "Register" link in the men? links bar.

Image

You will display the general contract page of the users, read carefully it contains the registration rules.
click in the "I Agree to these terms" link (the first).

Image

U will load the window of registration, complete all fields or u can't proceed.

Username: Insert in this field the username that you will use for the forum. Username must be between 3 and 20 chars long and use alphanumeric, space or -+_[] characters.
If the username that you wish to use is already registered an error message, later at the end of the registration, will inform you to choose another username;

Image

E-mail address: Please insert a valid email address, because the forum will send to that account a confirmation link that you must to click later to confirm your account and to complete so the registration. It is also useful if the administration need to contact you without the forum or where you will receive informations email from the administration (like messages for the important announcements)
An automatic system also check if the email address that you inserted is valid or not, the check is only for the domain name extension, if you wrong it an error message, when you will end the registration, will warn you about this error.
Insert so in both field "E-mail address:" and "Confirm e-mail address:" your email (the second field is a security to avoid mistakes in typing during the registration, if you for example type wrong a character in one of the two fields an error will inform you to check better "The e-mail addresses you entered do not match." so be sure it is typed correctly in both fields)

Image

Password: Same thing for the email address fields: insert in both fields "Password:" and "Confirm password:" your password, which must be between 6 and 30 characters and must contains letters and numbers.

Image

Date of Birth: Insert your date of birth, when your birthday will coming it will be automatic listed in the birthday list of the forum index page.

Image

Image

Language: Select the board language you wish from this option, for default it is set to English, anyway not always others languages are installed, they must be upgraded always when the administration modify something in the forum, so, some or all not English languages could be not available.

Image

Country: This option is for the country flag display, select here your country, a little flag will appear near. This flag will be present in your posts and in your public profile.

Image

Image

Image

Timezone: This option allow you to choose the forum timezone, all times in the board will be changed in the timezone that you will set (default UTC+1);

Image

Confirmation of registration: To prevent automated registrations the board requires you to enter a confirmation code. The code is displayed in the image you should see below. If you are visually impaired or cannot otherwise read this code please contact the Board Administrator.
Insert the code that u see in the "Confirmation code:" field, if you will insert it wrongly dont worry the page reload and you just need to retype it (the code will change every time the page will reload)

Image

Click in the "Submit" button to complete your registration, or in the "Reset" button to reset all fields inserted in this page.

Image

If you have done some errors (username already taken, email address already used or not valid etc etc) you will display the error message and you must to fix the problem or contact the administration to help you.
If it is all ok you will display a message: "Your account has been created. However, this board requires account activation, an activation key has been sent to the e-mail address you provided. Please check your e-mail for further information."

Image

Now you must to go to check your emails if you yet received the confirmation email sent to you.
PS: if there are slownesses or problems in the forum the email could arrive late, if it does not arrive please contact the administration and check if you are running an antispam software (check the rules set on it)

Image

The email contains the confirmation link, click in that link to confirm your account.
You cannot use your account until you do not confirm it clicking in that link.

Image

If all is right you should receive the following message which inform you that you have activated your account correctly: "Your account has now been activated. Thank you for registering."
If you have problems please contact the administration.

What to do if you still have not received the activation email?

There is an option, which allow you to request a new email with the activation link, to use it you must click on login link in the menĂ¹ bar

Image

Click on "Resend activation e-mail" link

Image

Insert so the username that you have registered and the email address that you used to register it. Then click on "Submit" button to end

Image

A messagge will inform you that the activation email has been sent.
If you still have problems you should contact the administration.

Attention! some free services like hotmail or Yahoo! has detected our server mails as spam. So you could find our activations emails in your spam box, if you did not set the options to delete automatically the spam emails.

I have installed some antispam prevention on registration page, you will find 2 new fields "antispam" and "Type the middle number (3)"

Image

if you set the wrong you will get an error message

Image

so you must to select "No" on the question "Are you a spam bot?"
and "3" on the question "Type the middle number please"
